Is Your Motor Running??

Thunder Rapids has adapted to health precautions beautifully! They are sanitizing karts and helmets after use, providing hairnets, limiting crowding, and using physical distancing in an effective way. The concessions and bathrooms are open and 50% capacity is fine with our numbers. So, the Winnipeg Huntington Indy Go-Kart Challenge will be able to run in the usual format unless restrictions become tighter. If that's the case, we have some alternative strategies in mind.

Here we go - and monies raised will be matched!!!

Please note:

The Huntington Society of Canada takes the safety of our staff, volunteers and community members very seriously. We believe, above all else, that organizations and events must play a role in reducing the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.

This event has been organized with all of our health and safety in mind.

HSC relies heavily on the money raised through fundraising events each year. Your continued support at this difficult time will ensure we are still able to provide funding to world-leading research into treatments for Huntington disease, as well as vital support services to individuals and families affected by Huntington disease. All donations and contributions made to our event will be matched by an anonymous donor dollar for dollar!

In the meantime, we encourage you to:

•  Monitor local public health communications regarding COVID-19

•  Stay home if you feel sick, or have recently travelled outside of Canada

•  Wash your hands regularly

If you have questions, please reach out to Vern, the National Office Events Team at events@huntingtonsociety.ca or review HSC's website https://www.huntingtonsociety.ca/novel-coronavirus-covid-19-and-huntington-disease-what-you-should-know/

Thanks so much, and be well!
